Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation

I was going to wait to do a review on this product............. but I really couldn't!! I absolutely am in love with this foundation. I have been using this foundation for about a month now. It is by Benefit and first of all, let me clarify that Benefit is by far my favorite cosmetic company and I will be doing a lot of reviews on Benefit products.  I will review the packaging, the effectiveness, the buildabilty, the coverage, and my overall rate of the product.

This is a fairly new foundation from Benefit. It recently came out in i think March. I picked up this foundation at my local Sephora but I know that is available at any place they sell Benefit cosmetics such as Ulta, Benefit Boutiques, Benefit Counters inside Macy's, or where i got mine, Sephora. I am in the color Champagne. It costs $34 so it is a little on the expensive side.

Packaging: The packaging is absolutely adorable. Benefit is known for having the cutest packages on all their products. It comes in a white and silver box with pink on the inside. The actual bottle of foundation comes in a cute see through cylinder with the words "Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening Makeup Oil Free SPF 25 PA +++ Non Gras" A HUGE plus is that this makeup comes with a pump so you can avoid the messiness of having to pour out the foundation and then having it get dirty. Also when i opened it up i was surprised with a free sample of the Porefessional. So i thought that was a nice little touch.  Overall the packaging gets 5 stars.

Effectiveness: This foundation really does brighten your skin the way it says it would. It does give you a natural complexion because it doesn't look too matte but it gives that little bit of dewiness that makes you look awake and refreshed. It also claims it prevents signs of aging but I'm only 17 so I can't tell if that is true or not :p

Buildability: This is more of a sheer foundation. I wouldn't recommend if you're aiming for more of a heavy coverage. But you could build this to a more medium coverage

Coverage: ^^^^^^

Overall rate: I give this a 4.5 out of 5. The only thing i find kind of crummy is that if you have oily skin this foundation might not be the best for you. This gives you a dewy finish so if you're face is already oily than its not going to look good. I have an oily t-zone so all i need is a little bit of powder on there and I'm set but for others, you're better off with a matte foundation.

Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free Makeup

Ok now I know this is not the latest or the hottest makeup to come out in stores BUT I thought this would be a very good product for my first review. I will review the packaging, the effectiveness, the buildabilty, the coverage, and my overall rate of the product.

Now this product can be found at your local drugstore. The price varies anywhere from about $10-$13. It is pretty expensive for a drug store makeup but I believe it's worth the price.

Packaging: This makeup comes in a little glass square bottle. You get 1 fl oz which is pretty much the standard amount when buying foundation. This does not have a pump and it would be SOOO much better if it did! It also tends to get a little messy if you dont clean it up every once in a while, so I recommend just cleaning up the cap and around the, I would call it, "neck" of the bottle. This foundation has a weird kind of scent to it but i believe it is due to the salicylic acid. You might think that the smell might be a problem to you, considering that it's going to be on your face and the smell would bother you, but for me, once it goes onto my face, I don't smell it anymore, so I don't think the scent should be a dealbreaker.

Effectiveness: Oh my gosh! I suffered with acne for the longest time (or at least it felt like it) and when I started using this product, it did what it said it would. My face felt so much smoother by the next day. I noticed that after a month of using this my face seemed to have less breakouts. This makeup really does what it's supposed to. On the label on the back it says to use 1-3 times a day but I wouldn't recommend to unless for some reason it has been coming off. If you have really sensitive skin, it might also cause your skin to dry out so i recommend using moisturizer until your skin becomes accustomed to it.

Buildability: Defintely buildible.

Coverage: Light to medium coverage. For heavier, like I stated, it is buildable so you should achieve that heavier coverage if needed. You can see on the pictures to the right that i covered up some scars i had on my arm and this is with just one layer of product. P.S. I didn't want to show my face for the simple fact that I'm having a bad hair day :(

Overall rate: I give this product 4 out 5. If it had a pump it would definitely be better. Also the packaging is kind of plain and boring. It doesnt come in a special box or anything. Plus the bottle is glass so im scared that if it were to fall one day it would be capable of breaking. But overall this product is great. I recommend getting it and i also recommend getting the face powder "Neutrogena Skin Clearing mineral powder" for a more matte finish if you're like me with a very oily t-zone.
